I used to browse the local thrift store almost weekly, usually before hitting the gym next to it. Most weeks, there was nothing, but sometimes there'd be a great top or jacket for me. Then I had kids. Full-time job + Washington, DC commute = 3-4 hours/day with my young family. No more browsing for clothes, no more gym. I don't know where to put it. When I <i>do</i> need new clothes - and I generally don't/can't go shopping until there is a specific need with a deadline - I get grumpy that I don't know how long it will take me to find them, or that I'll have to "settle" for pieces I don't really love nor reflect my own style but that fit reasonably well, because I don't have the time to be slowly, incrementally building the wardrobe that I want. GAWD I love shoes! Really though that is the only reason I hate to shop. I don't mind going through all the clothes and usually I do shop a size for comfort not style... except for shoes (if they are cute and hurt my feet I will deal).
